Gem Swap is a jewel match-3 puzzle on an 8x8 board. Swap two neighbouring gems to line up three or more of the same kind; they burst, the gems above fall and new ones drop in. Each level sets a points goal and a move budget, starting at 1,000 points in 20 moves. Reach the goal and every move you have left turns into a line gem that fires for bonus points. Run out of moves first and the run ends.
Four in a row makes a line gem that clears its row or column, an L or T of five makes a bomb that blasts a 3x3 square, and five in a row makes a prism that clears every gem of the colour you swap it with. Swapping two specials together sets off a bigger combo. Every jewel has its own shape as well as its own colour. Each cascade step raises the multiplier, so matches low on the board often pay best.
How to play Gem Swap
- 1Swipe a gem toward a neighbour, or tap one gem and then a neighbour, to swap them; mouse drags and clicks work the same way.
- 2Keyboard: the arrow keys or W A S D move the cursor, Space picks a gem, then an arrow swaps it.
- 3Each gem cleared scores 10 points times the cascade multiplier, and specials add bonus points.
- 4Reach the goal to clear the level; running out of moves before the goal ends the run.
